Internet subverts human information communication mode

The emergence of the Internet has subverted the traditional media's way of news dissemination. The news that once appeared on television and print media is gradually being replaced by real-time and fresh information on portal websites. In 10 years, people will be able to conveniently read various hot news pushed by apps on their smartphones. And now, the headline mode has once again refreshed the way we obtain news.

The concept of "portal website" originated from Yahoo, which created a yellow page style news homepage, became a display place for news gathering, and set up search engines on the website, allowing people to quickly filter out the content they want to read from a massive amount of information.

Due to the lagging nature of traditional media, the news that should be very valuable has become "old news" when it is released on traditional media, while the dissemination of Internet news is more efficient and fast. Major news events such as the 9/11 attacks, the US Iraq War, and the Indonesian tsunami were all reported on portal websites at once, and updates were made every two to three minutes. A large number of real-time, 24/7 tracking reports ensure the timeliness of news to a great extent.

In the past, traditional portal websites mostly provided a wide range of news content, but rarely considered from the user's perspective whether the news could cater to their preferences. In the era of mobile apps, news apps not only push popular and categorized news to users, but also give users the right to choose, allowing them to subscribe to content according to their own needs.
